Aaron Judge 6, Yankees And Diamondbacks 2

The New York Yankees faced the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight in an AL vs NL showdown, and it was quite a show.

Luke Weaver started on the Yankees side for his second appearance in pinstripes. Weaver went 5.1 shutout innings with three strikeouts while allowing four hits. The Yankees would eventually win in blowout fashion, 7-1. The win credited to Weaver marks his first as a Yankee.

Despite the Yankees being considered by many to be out of playoff contention, their offense was very much alive, by “their offense” I mean Aaron Judge.

Aaron Judge smashed three home runs and would have a six RBI night. This was Judge’s second three homer game this season, making him the first Yankee in franchise history to have multiple three home run games in a single season.

So, a career milestone along with franchise history was made in the Bronx tonight. New York moves to 78-76, as they push the Diamondbacks to 81-73.
