Vice President Rodgers – That is something that we may be hearing by this time next year. It is also something I never thought I would type out, let alone say in my lifetime.
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has Aaron Rodgers atop of his list for a VP running mate. The Jets QB is reportedly ‘seriously considering’ teaming up with RFK Jr., and making a political bid. The pair-up would likely mean retirement of the Gang Green QB.
AR8 publicly said on multiple occasions that he plans to play at least 2-3, possibly even 4 more seasons in the league. It is unclear now though if that’s his same mindset – maybe he will start for the Jets on Sunday and campaign on Monday. One thing is clear though: Aaron Rodgers running as Vice President is a real possibility.
Rodgers and RFK Jr., are very close friends and even went hiking together several days ago.
Rodgers, who was acquired by New York last offseason in a blockbuster trade only played 75 seconds in Week 1 before falling with a season-ending achilles injury.
If Rodgers retires from football after only playing 75 seconds for the Jets, then that HAS to be the most Jets thing ever. It would easily surpass the Butt Fumble on epic proportions.
