Connecticut QB Talent On Jets Depth Chart

Two Connecticut kids are quarterbacking on the New York Jets. Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian are a part of Gang Green.

Overall, this is no stat. Considering though that there are currently 16 current players from Connecticut in the NFL, it’s pretty cool that two of them are on the quarterback depth chart for the Jets.

Tim Boyle was an offseason signing as part of Aaron Rodgers coming to One Jets Drive. Boyle was born in Hartford, and played high school ball at Xavier High School, winning three state championships. He would then go on to be on the Uconn depth chart for three years, appearing in 25 games for the Huskies.

Trevor Siemian was born in Danbury, but grew up and played high school ball in Florida. Siemian only appeared in three varsity high school games, posting a 6-3 TD-INT ratio, according to MaxPreps. Siemian was signed to the Jets’ practice squad and is expected to be named their starter by week 6. This will be his second stint with the Jets, he started in Week 2 of the 2019 season against the Cleveland Browns. He went 3-for-6 passing for 3 yards and was sacked twice; a late hit would cause an ankle injury, removing him from the game and ending his season.
