Many players have gone through the Knicks’ system throughout the last several years. Many bench roles have come and gone as the team made playoff basketball in two of their last three seasons.
It is without a doubt the best era of Knick basketball that MSG has seen since the 1990s, but still the second rotation roster remains inconsistent.
One new face on the Knicks is Donte DiVincenzo, a 6-foot-4 guard who spent last season with Golden State. Overall a 5-year veteran has averaged 9.1 points in 273 games, but offense has never been something that he has been known for.
DiVincenzo is one of few players that knows how to balance time and his role. The 26-year-old have both starter and second-rotation experience, along with being considered one of the best backcourt players in the league.
New York acquiring DiVincenzo also reunites him with former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
His presence and versatility along with overall playing style can be what adds to a much-needed championship run.
