Evan Fournier recently vented his frustration with the Knicks and he made it clear he wants the first flight out of JFK.
The 30-year-old was brutally honest on his stand-point with the Knicks organization in a recent interview, even saying that his career will take a disastrous turn if he stays with the team.
“I can manage a year without playing. Two… that would be terrible,” Fournier told L’Equipe.
“If you want to trade me with a good return, why don’t you use me?” The Frenchman was the fourth-best 3-point shooter in the league, but the Knicks did not take advantage of his downtown skills.
Last season Fournier only appeared in 27 games across the 2022/23 season, adding that his relationship with head coach Tom Thibodeau is non-existent. He was moved to a bench role after starting the Knicks’ first seven games last season until being out of the rotation entirely in mid-November.
Fournier expects to be traded this offseason, saying, “There’s no way they’re gonna keep me.”
In 107 games as a Knick, Fournier has averaged 12.1 PPG with a .405 FG%.
