On September 23rd, 2020 West Haven Blue Devils Pitcher Gianni Gambardella announced -that he has committed to playing baseball at the University of Maine, a Division-1 college that has been in the NCAA Tournament 16 times along with 7 trips to the College World Series. Gambardella committed to Maine as a Junior in high school, now he is a Senior who is gearing up for one final season at the school.
Today, Gambardella signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at UMaine. The right hander has been one of the bigger names in Connecticut baseball as over the past several years he has been the name to multiple complete games, being a dominant force on the pitcher's mound.
