In less than a 24-hour span the New York Giants signed two key offensive assets.
The first report came when New York signed veteran receiver Cole Beasley to a contract. The signing will give the Giants’ depth and a veteran target for Daniel Jones. Beasley has compiled 556 catches for 5,744 yards and 34 TDs in 11 years, spending the last four in Buffalo and Tampa Bay.
With Saquon Barkley’s immediate and long-term future with the team in question, New York needed an answer to the running back position, cue in James Robinson. The 24-year-old will add depth and could even be RB1 on the chart if needed.
After starting off 2022/23 with the Jaguars, he would then be traded to the New York Jets as the team tried to recover from Breece Hall’s ACL injury. Limited playing time would make his locker a dust collector, running for 85 yards in four games with an overall posting 425 yards in 11 games.
