The New York Giants are signing QB-turned-TE Tyree Jackson to the practice squad. This signing makes sense as New York needed a tight end to their practice squad.
Jackson is 6-foot-7 at 249 pounds and can run a 4.59 while going up for a 34.5 vertical. The 25-year-old has spent his career up to this point on the Philadelphia Eagles, appearing in 14 games for 3 receptions off of 7 targets and a touchdown.
New York waived Tommy DeVito, who made a very powerful case for QB2 on the team. It is very possible that Tyree Jackson and the Giants could have a wildcat situation on his hands.
