The World Series hasn’t even started yet and there is already one player who is part of the winning team.
Taylor Trammell only played 5 games apiece for both the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers this season.
Trammell’s 5 games with Los Angeles saw an 0-for-6, 3 K campaign before he was DFA’d after his fifth game. Acquired by New York just several days later, Trammell was added to the pinstripes active roster.
Trammell’s 5 games with the Yankees saw him get his first and only at-bat and hit as a Yankee. A very short, but productive 1-for-1, 1 BB campaign gave the former 1st round pick a 1.000 batting average with a 2.000 OPS.
The Yankees would send Trammell down to the minors after his 5th game. Trammell would spend the rest of 2024 in AAA, posting a 63-RBI, 20-stolen base season that was complemented by a .869 OPS in 106 games.
Because of spending time in the majors with both teams that are in the World Series, Trammell is eligible for a World Series ring. It is just a matter of what logo will be surrounded by the diamonds.
