Joey Cipollone just won the National College Hockey Championship with Quinnipiac, now he has a chance at making an NHL roster.
It was announced today that the New York native has been signed to an AHL contract with the Bridgeport Islanders, affiliate to the New York Islanders.
The signing comes as part of three total announcements made by the Bridgeport organization. Cole Bardreau and Jeff Kubiak were also signed, as they will continue to play with the AHL Islanders.
Having Cipollone on the team is a huge move for a winning future in New York. Playing three college seasons at the Forward position for Quinnipiac, he has posted 19 goals and 19 assists for a +33.
