Tommy DeVito’s Italiansanity run is over.
It was announced early Wednesday morning by Brian Daboll that Tyrod Taylor will start Sunday vs the Los Angeles Rams. DeVito was benched mid-game on Christmas day after struggling against Philly’s defense.
DeVito is .500% after starting 6 consecutive games, overall he has appeared in 8 games this season. Tommy Cutlets is an accurate quarterback who has completed 112 out of 176 of his passes for a 63.6 CMP%, and has only thrown 3 interceptions.
Tommy DeVito didn’t play badly whatsoever. He’s an undrafted rookie who was on the practice squad to start the season. So, of course – expectations were low and mistakes were going to be made, but DeVito soared above them and showed signs he could possibly be a true NFL starter in the future.
DeVito is on a two-year contract with New York, so he will be repping Big Blue in 2024/25 barring any trades or being released.
