Jacob Trouba Sent To Ducks For Vaakanainen

The New York Rangers have traded Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, December 6th.

The Rangers, who were riding a 13-10-1 record, made the trade while sitting fourth in the Metropolitian Division with 27 points.

In return for Trouba, Anaheim sends over Urho Vaakanainen and a draft pick to the Big Apple.

Vaakanaien, 25, is a career +/- player of -23 and comes to New York after playing five games for the Ducks, accounting for one point off of an assist.

The Rangers will be the third team that Vaakanaien has played for in his seven-year career, previously playing 31 games for Boston.

Trouba goes to California -3 on the ice with 6 points, which all come for assists. Basically the Rangers and Ducks traded Defensemen, although I feel like Anaheim benefits more with Trouba and New York will benefit in the draft with that new pick.
