AUGUST 8th: Julius Randle, Obi Toppin and newly acquired Knick Jalen Brunson were seen playing at the Pro City Playoffs in New York. The NBA players whose contracts are worth more than $150M combined were facing average hoopers who play for fun.
The Knicks paring were only able to put up 97 points, losing by 13 to guys who had to wake up the next day to go to their 9-5 jobs. The final score was 110-97 when the final buzzer rang. Julius Randle was being booed by fans in the Bronx Community College gym.
Despite it being a meaningless game having nothing to do with the NBA you cannot over look this truly embarrassing loss by the tiny Knicks’ squad. Frankly some of the players on the opposing team should be offered G League contracts. The NBA season kicks off several weeks from now and the Knicks are expected to rebound after a disappointing 2021/22 season.
