Matt Carpenter Leaves Game With Broken Foot

August 8th, 2022: New York Yankees third baseman Matt Carpenter will be sidelined for about six weeks due to a foot fracture. During the Yankees-Mariners game in the top of the first inning Matt Carpenter fouled a ball off his back left foot. The impact of the ball was enough to fracture the foot, taking the Yankees’ power hitter out of the game. This season Matt Carpenter has splits of .307/.414/.732 accompanied by 15 homer runs and 37 RBIs through 46 games.
