On January 22nd, 2006, we saw one of the most impressive three-player feats. Los Angeles Lakers players Kobe Bryant, Smush Parker and Chris Mihm combined for 106 points against the Toronto Raptors.
That record would be broken after 17 years when the New York Knicks put Indiana off pace in a 138-129 win on April 5th. Knicks’ players Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes and Obi Toppin combined for 107 points.
The three Knicks’ both were in the 30 point category with IQ leading the way with 39 points. When the Lakers got the record it was Kobe Bryant who did most of the work. Putting up 81 points which is best for second place in NBA’s all-time single-game scoring records.
One of the most impressive things from the Knicks' game is that it was the youth that were knocking down the baskets. They were able to get 107 combined points without RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson being a part of the top three all while Julius Randle is on the IL.
