The New York Rangers are currently 45-20-6 in the win-loss-overtime loss column with 96 points. After those 71 games the team stands second in the Metropolitan Division just several wins behind the Hurricanes. Despite the Rangers domination this year they have not clinched a playoff berth spot yet unlike the Panthers and Avalanche. New York has been led by Left Winger Artemi Panarin and Goalie Igor Shesterkin. The Rangers are the top team when it comes to New York hockey so far late in this 2021/22 NHL season, besting the Islanders 32-38-9 record and the Sabres 26-3-11 standing record. The Rangers have nowhere to go but up with the playoff approaching as they are in the top three favorites to win the Cup.
