Aaron Boone has given the New York Yankees a 328-218 record over his managerial career and has led the Yankees to a postseason in each of his first four seasons with the team (2018-21.) Over his first three full seasons as manager (2018-19, ’21), he has averaged 98 wins per season. Despite the success and the winning overall record Aaron Boone was not expected to be re-signed as the Yankees manager this MLB offseason. Over the past two seasons (2020 and 2021) Aaron Boone has fallen into heavy amounts of criticism by fans and the media for not making the players or the club as a whole responsible for many of their woes.
Today it was announced by the New York Yankees organization that they have re-signed the 48-year old from La Mesa, California on a three-year contract through the 2024 MLB season with a club option for 2025. Boone was named the 33rd manager in Yankees franchise history and will remain their 33rd for now.
