Rangers Part Ways With Gerard Gallant After Two Seasons

New York Rangers and head coach Gerard Gallant have mutually agreed to part ways.

“Our search for a new head coach will begin right away." -Rangers GM Chris Drury

The resigning / firing of Gallant caps off a very short two year winning tenure with New York. The Rangers posted a 99-46-19 regular season record, both seasons featured playoff hockey that ended in disappointment.

After the game seven shutout loss against New Jersey just several days ago, Gallant ripped into the team putting blame on players instead of himself.

As of now there have been no reports on who New York is considering filling in the now vacant spot.
