Ranking The Top 5 Madden NFL Games

John Madden Football was released in 1988, now in 2023 we have Madden 24.

Several decades of playing as our favorite teams and winning Super Bowls, when in reality that same team in real life is 1-14.

With over 25+ different versions of Madden since 1988, we have ranked the top five best to ever go into the disc tray.

5. Madden NFL 10 (2009)

Madden NFL 10 broke away from the one player cover tradition, instead they went with two: Steelers’ Troy Polamalu and Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald. The good running and passing game that it brings along with enhanced graphics from Madden NFL 09, sat well amongst fans.

4. Madden NFL 19 (2018)

In an effort to make this game feel more like experiencing an actual NFL sporting event, Madden NFL 19 included the use of "real player motions" driven by stats and performances from real players. That led to players making cuts and performing blocks that lined up with how they look in real life.

3. Madden NFL 08 (2007)

Madden NFL 08 was released on virtually every video game console that it could, being placed on sixth and seventh generations. Overall, over 11 different consoles could run the game and its crisp 60 frames-per-second.

2. Madden NFL 16 (2015)

A diverse soundtrack accompanied with better player graphics added realism to in game play. While hearing a song playing softly over crowd cheers as players break from the huddle, gives the feeling that you’re actually watching a real-life game.

1. Madden NFL 12 (2011)

This was the last Madden that allowed the user to create a team without the use of mods. Overall, a severe lack of game modes gives the user a limited experience, but you could argue that is made up with more in-depth franchise mode feature such as future draft pick trades
