West Haven’s four-year starter Nick Conlan has committed to Springfield College, a Division III university located in Massachusetts. Conlan announced the highly-anticipated commitment Sunday night on his official instagram.

Springfield College plays in the NEWMAC division, where the team recently posted an undefeated 7-0 conference record with also an undefeated overall record of 12-0.

Conlan took over the reins of West Haven’s QB1 slot early his freshman year and never looked back. The 5-foot-10 QB would lead West Haven to back-to-back state championship games in his junior and senior seasons.

Overall, Conlan made a big dent in West Haven’s all-time football stat sheet. In 43 games, Conlan threw for 5,815 yards and 69 touchdowns off of 383 completions in 636 attempts.

Conlan’s senior year would mark his best season on the ground with 943 of his career-total 1,710  rushing yards coming from his senior season. Overall, Conlan posted 18 rushing touchdowns, all of which came from his final two-years.

Conlan leaves West Haven with big cleats to fill for sure.
