The New York Yankees have added catcher Carlos Narvaez to the 40-man roster.
The move comes after multiple Yankees’ elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright assignment.
Narvaez hit .239 in 100 games between AA/AAA. The 24-year-old being added to the 40-man could also be middle-move after catchers Kyle Higashioka and Ben Rorvedt were put on New York’s trade block.
Currently, it is expected that Austin Wells and Jose Trevino will be the Yanks’ 1-2 punch in 2024.
